Why place an online death notice on todesanzeigenschweiz.ch?
In this day and age, fewer and fewer people have a newspaper subscription. With an online obituary, you can reach mourners quickly, easily and inexpensively. With our simple obituary designer, you can easily create a stylish obituary within a few minutes. In addition, you usually save hundreds, often thousands of francs compared to a traditional newspaper ad.
Where is the obituary published?
The obituary is published in the obituary directory of todesanzeigenschweiz.ch – if you wish (see the «Private» option). The obituary can also be downloaded as a PDF file.
What does the «Private» option mean?
The «Private» option gives you the option of not publishing the obituary in the public directory. Instead, you will receive a private link. This link can only be viewed by people you share it with.
How does the online condolence book work?
If you activate the online condolence book, it will be displayed directly below the obituary. This gives relatives and friends the opportunity to express their sympathy. Condolence book entries are always public. You will receive an e-mail notification as soon as someone writes an entry. This mail also gives you the opportunity to remove an entry directly.

That is possible. To do so, send us the notice (e.g. as a PDF) in an e-mail.
What size is the death notice in the PDF?
The width of the death notice in the PDF created by the system is 150mm. The height depends on the content of your notice. We will also be happy to send you the background image separately if necessary.
Why is the online death notice not free of charge?
With the amount you pay for the obituary, we ensure the operation, further development and maintenance of our platform. The creation of our obituary designer has taken a lot of development time. How long does a death notice remain online?
A death notice remains online for a period of three years after publication. Before this period expires, you have the option to extend the duration.
What happens when the notice's term expires?
We will inform you in good time by e-mail before the term of your death notice ends. In this e-mail, you will be given the opportunity to easily extend the notice for another three years. If you decide not to extend, you do not need to do anything. The death notice will be automatically and permanently removed from the platform after the period expires.
I no longer wish to receive the TAP bulletin / newsletter and would like to unsubscribe.
Todesanzeigen Schweiz does not send out newsletters or mass e-mails. You are receiving the TAP bulletin from another death notice portal. You would have to contact them to unsubscribe. As far as we know, there is a link in the e-mail «Configure bulletin», via which you can unsubscribe.
